Steel Bar Grating is able to support heavier loads than plank grating, bar grating is good for trenches, mezzanines, walkways, work platforms, and floors. This grating has an open design that allows air, light, and debris to flow through. Cross bars hold the bearing bars in place; bearing bars help distribute weight and must rest on supports. Serrated grating provides maximum slip resistance.

Powder-coated steel grating is for use in dry, noncorrosive areas.

Galvanized steel grating is more corrosion resistant than powder-coated steel.

Stainless steel grating has better corrosion resistance than steel or aluminum.

Load Capacity of Heavy Duty Steel Grating

The charge-capacity at the grating is determined by the height and thickness of the bearing-bars (=supporting-bars). The bearing-bar must always be supported. Therefore, the bearing-bar is in all our documents = first dimension. Cross-bars and bordering off the grid contribute to the stability.

For custom sizes, please specify width and length. Note: Grating less than 17" long is reinforced with banding.

Among them, Mild carbon steel grating is the most cost effective and economical type, and hot dipped galvanized surface treatment supplies excellent corrosion resistance performance for durability.
